David and I bought corn at the market over the weekend, and he expressed a desire for burgers. I, however, do not eat red meat, so we reached the compromise of turkey burgers. Here is how he prepared them:
1.5 lbs ground turkey
1 pkg. dry onion soup
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1.5 tbs soy sauce
Then he cooked them on the Foreman and boiled the corn. We also had some potatoes and a salad.
David: the turkey burgers were surprisingly tasty. i think the soy sauce was what probably pushed them over the top – it wasn’t overpowering, but you could definitely taste its presence. the texture is what really made me notice they weren’t beef, but i was quite fine with what i
had. overall, i give an A- to this meal; the sweet corn we bought from
the farmer’s market was a great compliment.
Carla: Considering that I had been at school all day, coming home to this was great. David made the whole meal himself! The burgers were tasty and the corn was delicious. This was definetly something that I would have again. A
